Week 11 Results and Turkey Day Picks
Week 11 was a vintage performance by the Orb. We saw our best ever performance across moneyline picks, one of our more favorable weeks ever for totals, and of course, our spread picks were disappointing. This was a copy and paste text after each round of the playoffs last season for any of you who were with us even before the emails started. Two out of the three categories performing well is good, but we hope for a bounce back from our spread picks to be great. Even with a down week for spreads, our overall numbers for week 11Â were fantastic, so let's break them down.
Moneyline:
Our best ever moneyline performance, with only one (1) pick missing. We heard someone out there parlayed all the high value moneyline picks and is now sitting on a small country's gdp. Here is how the picks turned out.
- High value picks: 5/5, 100%, +2.115 units
- All ML picks: 12/13, 92.30%, +6.444 units
Totals:
Our next best performer of week 11 (and the season as a whole) was totals. Vegas has sharpened up their lines, but ours remained sharper. Here is how the Orb performed with totals.
- Totals picks: 9/13, 69.23%, +4.181 units
Spreads:
The ugly duckling of the week, and thus far our toughest category to predict for the season. After a season of underdogs covering spreads, the favorites finally got their laugh. The Jets not knowing how to cover a punt with 5 seconds left in the game also ruined our medium value picks going perfect.Â
- Medium value picks: 1/2, 50%, -0.091 units
- All spread picks: 5/13, 38.46%, -3.455 units
All picks combined:
- 26/39, 66.67%, +7.17 units.

In hindsight, suspending Thursday Night Football the week before the Thanksgiving slate was not our best decision. The people have asked for Thanksgiving picks, and we are simply here to serve. We are carving up an Orb Turkey Day Special, including a fun little parlay which is certainly tastier than that dry bird that is "so good" you only choose to eat it once a year.Â
Here are our games of the week for week 12, as well as all our picks for Sunday and Monday's slates:
