NFL WK14 - Favorite of the week
Orb Faithful,
Saturday morning, fresh cup of coffee next to me and absolutely zero romantic interests in my life to distract me from writing. This is what dreams are made of. This is what it is all about. While I do like to blog, there is a piece of me that wants to share my day-to-day thoughts in hopes that it can help someone else who’s going through similar situations. The picks are essential, but nothing is more important than how you look at yourself in the mirror. You talk about a guy who has really turned a corner. I went from being the life of the party to just that guy who likes to write on the internet at home sipping coffee. I guess I am trying to say that it’s okay to be where you are in life, no matter the situation. You’re in it for a reason. I often have to remind myself that Steve Harvey (a big role model to me) was homeless at age 30. Things take time, mistakes happen, and we all change. Embrace the different changes that come along because, to be honest, I would rather go through changes than be stuck as the same person. You will make it happen; it will never be when or how you wanted it to go, but you will make it happen.

Anyway… back to the NFL
The beauty of liking favorites in a game is that you don’t second-guess yourself as much as you would taking a dog. Maybe that will be the idea that ties this whole blog together. Stop thinking so much and act. Do what feels right, and trust that your intelligence leads you in the right direction.
Here are a couple of favorites that you should consider taking this Sunday:
Cowboys -16.5
I will give a lot of credit to the Cowboys for their performance last week. They handled business as they should have and slaughtered the Colts. Give them the ball this week, and let them do the same thing against the Texans. Vegas is telling you everything that you need to know about this line. Cowboys in a route over the Texans, lay the points, don’t think about it.
49ers -3.5
Same thing here that applies to the Cowboys. The Niners put on a show against a very talented Miami team. Ride the hot hand and take them to cover over Tom Brady and the Bucs. I know Tom can pull magic out of his back pocket, but I also don’t think he can do that every week. The Niners are not the Saints, and to barely make it past the Saints should be a big red flag for anyone betting on this Buccaneers football team.
Chiefs -9.5 + Eagles -6.5
In Orb, we trust. Book it.
Your Friend,
Andy Diamonds
