Monster stat lines of the week, we back son.
To start, the first guy that I want to highlight pretty much ruined my entire Sunday afternoon. If you are tapped into the blogs, you would know that the Orb and myself loved the Seattle Seahawks this week laying 3.5 pts. Josh Jacobs is number one on my shit list for this week. He had quite a Sunday afternoon. If it wasn’t for this man my Tyler Lockett to score a TD at anytime + Seattle Seahawks money line parlay would have cashed. But no, it was never the Seahawks to win this game, it was never the money line parlay. Here is what Josh Jacobs did to this Seattle defense:
Josh Jacobs
33 CAR, 229 YDS, 2 TD
33 carries?! 33 times this man was asked to be the sole production of the offense. Obviously you have Devante Adams out wide but 33 carries is also telling the defense of what you’re going to do to them before doing it and still successfully doing it. Yes over 200 yards rushing and 2TDs is insane but when I see that a running back has 33 carries that’s what throws them into the monster category. On average “In a well balanced game both teams play about 60 plays each” (google). Josh Jacobs is this teams engine, without him; all teams would have to do is double Devante and that would be a wrap. I simply cannot get a read on the Raiders, they are truly a mystery. Hot and Cold, up is down and down is up. Moving on…
Last guy I wanted to highlight was good ole Mac Jones. I don’t want to talk about wether or not the won the game (they didn’t), this guy Mac Jones is firmly planted on the hot in New England. Talk about a guy who has some mental fortitude. I cannot imagine the level of stress that he deals with; New England is not well know for being nice and understanding. Mac needed this, he needed everyone to just see that he’s not done. He doesn’t want to go anywhere especially behind Bailey Zappe. Yes they lost the game, but moving forward I think we are all going to see a refreshed version of this young man.
This was a win for the Mac Jones’ PR team.
