I come before you, humbled. I know I said some things about the doubters, about the non-believers. If I could take some of those things back, I probably wouldn't but I may have slightly altered my tone. I got cocky, I'll admit it. Starting out with a 100% hit rate went to my head and the vibes suffered as a result. I'm not even going to bring up how bad some of these last few beats were. I am not even going to say that the under in the Cavs Magic game was ready to salvage a push if not for the very last shot of the game in garbage time. I won't even allude to the fact that Tyrese Maxey had 25 points with 11 minutes left in the game and proceeded to not even take another shot. Listen, the vibes giveth and the vibes taketh away. And honestly, what was I thinking taking the Suns to cover against Michael Jordan's illegitimate son in Anthony Edwards. We live to fight another day. As we head into the end of the first round matchups we are still positive on units! We currently stand at +1.58, with our series bet of 2 units on the Orlando Magic +1.5 games still alive. I've taken some time to regroup, reassess the vibes and make some tweaks to my calibrator. With that, let's get back into it.Â
Milwaukee Bucks Team Total O 102.5 (-115) - We're going to jump back on the horse with what feels like a gimme. In short, the Pacers defense stinks. Losing a game by double digits to a Bucks team without Giannis and Dame is embarrassing. The Pacers have a bright future and may very well close out this series tonight, but I do not trust them enough to lay the -8.5. There is also subtle buzz about one of, or both, of the Bucks stars making their return tonight. I think Milwaukee smashes this team over, with or without their stars due to the fact that Indiana can't stop a nosebleed. And there's some extra value in there in the event one of their All Stars makes a return tonight. Don't overthink it, the Bucks might not win, but they're putting up points tonight.Â
Philadelphia 76ers -3 (-112) - I'm doing it. Honestly, a smart (weak) man would stay away from this series altogether. But not the Vibe Navigator. I can't help but feel this series must go 7 games. After a miraculous, season-saving performance from Tyrese Maxey I think Philly has found new life. I know Embiid looks terrible. I know the Sixers season should already be over. I just can't shake this feeling. The Sixers are the better, more talented team. However, they're also maybe the dumbest team I have ever seen. Each one of these games has come down to the wire so prepare for an absolute sweat tonight, but I think staring death in the face and shooting their way out of it will be a galvanizing force for this Philly team. The Knicks fans dominated the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia in game 4 and I do not see that happening again. Expect an electric (and possibly inebriated) crowd in the City of Brotherly Love tonight as the Sixers even the series. Sixers -3, enjoy the torture.
Los Angeles Clippers +7.5 - Speaking of matchups that seem destined to go 7 games, we have the Clippers traveling to Dallas for game 6. This series has been all over the place but 7.5 just seems too high for me. Even without Kawhi, the Clippers built a 30 point lead last time they were on the road in this series (and almost blew it, but we'll call that an act of God). I like this Mavericks team, but they continue to be inconsistent. We've gotten two games this series where they've simply not been ready to play. With the Clippers season on the line, I believe they at least keep it close enough to cover the number. And I wouldn't be surprised if they won the game outright to force a game 7 back in Los Angeles.Â
