Joe Shiesty And The Cincinnati Bengals Are Back
Hello readers,
Andy Diamonds here on a Monday morning. What a weekend, what a time to be the NFL.
"The Buffalo Bills kicked off the week on Thursday night with their first division win this season, beating the Patriots in New England. On Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles kept on rolling with a win over the Tennessee Titans, the New York Giants and the Washington Commanders took their divisional battle to overtime, and the Minnesota Vikings and New York Jets duked it out in a wild fourth quarter" (ESPN).
Out of all the headlines from yesterday, I wanted to highlight one young man who defines confidence and swagger. Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals performed a masterclass against the Chiefs. YOU TALK ABOUT A GUY who refuses to get nervous in the spot. You talk about a guy who finds a way to overcome the mountain of a team that is the Kansas City Chiefs. Joe Shiesty is that guy. He and the Bengals extend their win streak to 10 games and put a cherry on top by beating the Chiefs for a third straight time. Here's the thing: I struggle with confidence issues and not precisely being where I thought I would be by age 25. But after watching Joe Shiesty do his thing and carry himself the way he does… there is hope. I don't know why we, as humans, are so hard on ourselves. We are never our biggest supporters and are always the reason for our turmoil. We could all take a few notes from Joe Burrow.
If you have read this far, keep going. I believe in you. Be the guy. Build yourself from the ground up. Always smile and stop thinking so much.
