Buy or Sell: C.J. Stroud and The Houston Texans
Orb Faithful,Â
Good morning. I hope everyone had as much fun yesterday as I did. I can't stress this enough: the Orb right now is hotter than the sun. Not only did we go 5-1 against the spread, but we also hit a wild double winner on the TB Buccaneers covering + 3 and the Houston Texans winning outright. Please comment below + show me another handicapping website that gave out both the Bucs to cover and the Texans winning outright.Â
That's a great transition into a new blog idea. Listen, folks, the numbers are rising on the site traffic, but we are still only halfway from where we would like to be. That means that I need to write more: new blogs, new ideas, new content. I never wanted to start to chase numbers, but I'm having a blast writing these blogs and enjoy it when they add to our overall page views. Every blog counts, and that means we need to be blogging as much as possible. To make this possible, I'm adding a new weekly blog based on buying or selling your imaginary stock in players, teams, and headlines. No, this is not an original idea, and I fully took this format from Bobby Fairways and the guys over at the Brilliantly Dumb Show. Please don't come for me in the comments saying I'm stealing blog ideas; everyone does it, let's move on.Â
For the first installment of the buy or sell segment, the most obvious answer is buying your stock in C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans. What a show this young man put on. His stat line speaks for itself:Â
C.J. Stroud >> 30/42 | 470 YDS |Â 5 TDSÂ | 0 INTS
That's wild. Even more wild is how he has carried himself in the media. I've listened to several of his postgame interviews, and he's all business. It reminds me a lot of Joe Burrow and how he talks. He is cool, calm, collected, and his focus is being a good leader that wins football games. Only a year or two ago, it looked like this franchise was headed for the dumpster. But now you have a focused C.J. Stroud, Tank Dell, who is fast, and Nico Collins, who has looked great this season. It's a young team with some draft picks that should help their defense grow. Buy your stock in C.J. and this developing Houston Texans team.Â
Happy Monday,
